I have spent my workday doing computer housekeeping. Inbox was out of control again, and in the process of clearing it, I realized how many client folders were for clients long gone, and I started saving off the mail. I've probably deleted 1500 emails today, organized another 500 or so more, plus dealing with the attachments. Things are quiet, I'm in the groove, I'll probably keep going another 90 minutes or so.
In the process, which involves lots of pauses, I also did my personal computer backup, then also fixed the backup routine to do the second backup to Ms. Potts. So there's the full backup that we would use for restore purposes that's maintained in real time, plus now the two manual backups of the critical data for portability and that time you delete a file and go DAMN three days later and just need to restore the one file, not the whole system.
Feeling very cleansed. Also, bored, but in a soothing, restful way.
