I went spoiler hunting
Jul. 19th, 2012 08:00 pmSo I went spoiler hunting.
Winter Soldier is confirmed. I have mixed emotions about this because why does everybody come back from the dead? But fans liked this plot development, so I will reserve judgment.
Extremis rumored from apparently reliable sources. Please, please, please! That would be awesome. And there are pictures about of Iron Patriot, which opens up some interesting possibilities for the Avengers franchise, possibly spawning the even more sketchy rumors for a Civil War plot line for either Avengers 2 or 3. Who owns X-Men? Too lazy to check. Seems like there would have to be X-Men involvement in a Civil War plot, yes? But there need to be more superheros in the world for a Civil War plot to make any sense, not just Cap, Hulk and Thor, with a side order of non powered heroes in Black Widow, Hawkeye and Iron Man. Though if Tony gets Extremis, does that make him a powered hero after all? Seems to me yes. But anyway, 6 people does not result in a Civil War.
Saw a really sketchy rumor about Coulson coming back as Vision. Goodness knows what THAT would mean.
UPDATE: OK, could not leave it alone. ScreenRant opines, discussing Fox's ownership of X-Men, "For the heavy comic book readers, that means a Civil War movie is likely out of the question. Probably any "Marvel Event" is out of the question." http://screenrant.com/marvel-comics-movies-characters-carl-6766/

Date: 2012-07-20 04:13 pm (UTC)And if you're spoiler hunting, here is another one--they've cast someone to play Sam, aka Falcon! So the cast of powered individuals is going to expand even if some Marvel properties are at other studios.
