muck_a_luckWe junked out on movies the kids can't watch last night. Well, actually, the first thing we watched was Paul, which AG33 did watch, but I missed 75% of the time they watched it. Very extremely funny. I must have been in a mood, because for some reason particularly I could not stop laughing at Ruth's random swearing.
Then Husband put in Kick Ass and we were surprised at how amazingly good it was. Yes, Mr. Ebert, the little girl gets beaten up. *pets poor Mr. Ebert* But she is awesome. And she gets beaten up like a grownup in a fight, not like some kind of, I dunno, sadistic kid torture or something, which was what I was thinking it would be based on his review. Big recommendation of Kick Ass if you have not seen it.
THEN we watched Tropic Thunder. OMG, so stupidly funny. Of course, we did watch it last, and it was late (for us) and we were already pretty punchy from the other two movies. The preview of Satan's Alley at the beginning is JUST the beginning. RDJ running around in black face and method acting leads to so, so many jokes, and how much fun was he having as an actor, being a total jackass? Tom Cruise was freakin' hilarious, too. Really enough can't be said about the entire cast.
