I have an attitude about shoes. Once when out and about, The Barbarian saw some shoes that should never be attached to a human leg, and she thought they were amazing and pretty. It has been haunting me for months.
Recently I had the brainwave to talk to her about shoes that are bad for your body the same way I talk about smoking and illegal drugs and alcohol.
I got my come-uppance. I took them to DSW to look for shoes this past weekend - forgetting that DSW doesn't carry kids's shoes, and we went through the "bad shoes" section, and she was YELLING about "Look at those bad shoes, Mommy! Are those bad? Those are REALLY BAD!"

Date: 2012-06-01 03:02 am (UTC)I am ALL ABOUT comfortable shoes. Pretty much everything I wear is made by Klogs or Crocs, and I'm pissy about Crocs making all kinds of high heeled shit now. WTF? Nice, squishy flats, please.
