They are bow hunting deer in our neighborhood for the next couple of weeks. I'm right to be nervous, right?

ETA: My cousin assures me that bow hunters know what they are doing, plus limited range of weapon means they "get a really good look at the target," which I assume means they don't confuse the average pedestrian with a deer.

I am mostly reassured. :)

Bow hunting take a very high degree of skill and care. Also, the distance from the hunter to target is shorter, which puts a burden on the hunter's skill, bur improves the visibiity of their target.

I live in the middle of state forest, and will take bow hunters any day over yahoos who can too esily pull a trigger too far from their target without actually confirming what they're shooting.
