The quality of the pictures isn't fantastic, stupid camera - these are cut all the way through. I'm too lazy to try the fade patterns, though this year the two cat patterns are my own ripoffs of some I saw on icanhascheezburger. Anyway, I was v. pleased with them! Next year I might try the leafless tree whose spooky branches spell Happy Halloween! :)
Ah, I was having optical illusion eye! That's actually more impressive, cutting all the way through on something with such fine detail. I can't even begin to imagine the tree spelling out letters, though ... way too tricksy!
I got one of those pumpkin carving kits a couple of years ago and I was absolutely amazed at how - easy is the wrong word - now about - not hard - it was to do even complicated designs with the right tools. Who knew there were "right tools" for pumpkin carving! :D After pulling off that spiral cat tail, I feel that the tree branches might be doable.
