Judging everyone

muck_a_luckFeeling cranky and jugmental, but also enthusiastic and not depressed. Hmmm. Is this the constant mood of Tea Party members? Or just healthy old people who want kids off their lawns?
Thinking about Mr. Gingrich. You now what would make the world a better place? If people could just make sure that penises stay in their correct locations. Srsly. Penises that get out and do stuff they should not do are the cause of LOTS of world problems.
Also, if politicians could learn to apply that general principle, it could MASSIVELY improve the public's opinion of them.
Thinking about politicians. You now, our system is such that anybody who has the necessary ego and pathological level of "self esteem" - maybe I should call that self-aggrandizement - to go out there and get the cash needed to get elected is by definition probably morally unfit to lead a group of pre-schoolers singing Mary Had a Little Lamb, much less to accept a position of power and responsibility in elected office.
Thinking about people who put down the grammar and spelling and punctuation skills of the internet generation. E-mail and text have made writing an important form of communication again after several decades of the tyrannical rule of the telephone. Sure, e-mail encourages careless errors and text-speak makes you want to grind your teeth, but this is literacy in action on a grand scale. I think that is only a good thing.
Also, I love everybody, but evangelical atheists are as annoying as evangelical everybody else. I respect you. I appreciate your arguments. OMG, you are driving me crazy.
Also, I am going to have to have words with my very beloved, dear relative who is putting horrible, nasty, annoying posts in his FaceBook and I am going to have to say something about it soon or defriend him, because I cannot have that negativity in my life, no matter how much I love him. Certainly not at this time of year. Maybe in August. (For the record, Husband is not on FaceBook.) (No one mention the irony of this hugely negative post, please. I'm possibly in a slightly irrational mood - still like a Tea Party member or a really old person!)

PS: On an unrelated note, day two of Lent going swimmingly. For Lent this year, I have set my myfitnesspal.com account for 1.5 pounds per week weight loss, and my Lenten fast is going to be to do what my calorie goal tells me to do. Except I will be taking one weekend day off per week. This morning, I went into my boxes and pulled out the dress candidates for my brother's wedding in May. Going to try them on soon and see how close or far I am from them fitting again. I'm guessing the HUGE RACK, which became much huger during pregnancy and nursing, may be the impediment to these dresses fitting, but we'll see. Assuming I can fit into them, I may let The Barbarian choose between the tiny pink floral calico type print sundress which I had totally forgotten after all these years and which I made myself, or the pretty sundress with the large hibiscus flowers. I think the predominantly red dress is more of an early fall type dress, and the denim dress with the buttons up the front is WAY too casual. Maybe I will take it and wear it to the rehearsal dinner.

Date: 2011-03-11 07:01 pm (UTC)I finally put my foot down with the horrid emails we received from my FIL. I was very straightforward and told him we couldn't tolerate what he was sending. He didn't send an email to us for A YEAR, but after that he was much better behaved.
Crank away, woman! Sometimes it's the only way to let it all out. :)
