Fresh Mozz Fried Cheese Sandwiches
Mar. 1st, 2010 07:31 pmFresh Mozz Fried Cheese Sandwiches
Soft, squishy horrible sliced white bread, crusts cut off
1 bowl with a 1/2 cup whole milk
1 bowl with some flour
1 bowl with a slightly beaten egg, salt and pepper to taste
A fist-sized ball of fresh mozz
Heat pure olive oil in a frying pan.
Place a 1/4 inch slice of mozz between two slices of squishy bread and squish the bread together like you used to make those cubes or bread when you were a kid. Or maybe you were Catholic and made "host."
Dip in milk, then flour, then egg.
Place the sandwich in the oil and fry til golden brown and crispy on the outside.
Make a dipping sauce with some tomato sauce doctored with your favorite spices.
Mmmmmmm. Bad. But so good.
That's Nigella, btw, in case you didn't notice. From Nigella Bites, I think.
