Computer software with deficiencies

Firstly, we have a spreadsheet set that we buy from a small vendor. The spreadsheets are for various purposes related to Virginia divorce - equitable distribution, child/spousal support, etc. For ED, for instance, there is a book of 8 spreadsheets or so. And on each sheet, there is identifying - reporting party name, date of report, style of case, case number.
And the lazy asses who developed these spreadsheets did not link the cells.
I mean, I don't know Excel that well, but I can't believe there is no way to link cells between sheets in the same workbook. It is on my list to fix this, and try to get them to pay me to explain the fix. Stupid people.
Secondly, TimeSlips. I know this software was first released sometime in the Cretaceous. Still. Every database you make must be called "Main.DB." If you have more than one database, it saves them in separate folders. The FOLDERS can be renamed, but the software cannot accomodate unique database names.
DUDE. In 1993 I was using DOS based database software (Paradox?) that could accomodate unique database names. WTF? TimeSlips programmers, get your act together!
