muck_a_luck:D Ha! Not really! I try, on New Year's Day, to only do things I want to do all year. On a practical level, I try not to wash the bathrooms and to avoid family strife. The not washing the bathrooms thing really works! My bathrooms never get washed! :D
On a slightly whiney note, I managed to hurt my arm again. It is some part of the bicep that I have angered, and possibly some connector to the shoulder, not sure. Basically, any move that requires me to extend my right arm forward, or God forbid over my head, feels like someone grinding broken glass into my arm and shoulder. Weirdly, last week, Fire (with all the pushups) was not what reaggravated it. I think it was the wide angle variation of Parivrtta Janu Sirsasana. You place you shoulder inside your knee as a lever for the twist, and that was when I felt my shoulder twinge. It was right at the end of whatever I was doing - not sure if it was in Heart-Air, the backbend sequence, or Shanti. Anyway, yesterday, I did nothing but aggravate it, til it hurt so much that I stopped using it completely. Getting my sweatshirt off over my head yesterday? Agony.
So today, my first New Year's Resolution is to completely rest that arm. No joke.
Santa brought us a Play Station 3. It amuses me that I am the fixer on video games, though I never play them anymore. But I played a heck of a lot of Atari as a kid, plus piano for 15 years or so, so I've got the top hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity in the house. AG33 is stuck on Ratchet and Clank on the stupidest thing that was ever stupid and I think I'm going to tell him he has to fix it himself or he will never learn.
I have been thoroughly enjoying Little Big Planet, and plan to indulge in it until the end of this holiday, then back to other things. With the arm, it's a shame I'm not writing something, but I'm just not in the mood to get sucked into that right now. Mindless play instead! My pod is covered in flower decorations from the Garden Level.
