Snow storm update
Dec. 19th, 2009 04:48 amWell, The Barbarian woke up a few minutes ago (approx 4:30am). We're in the process of getting her back to bed. But we have peeked out the window and there is easily 5 inches of snow out there already. That sounds like we have maxed out and exceeded the original overnight predictions of 2-4 inches. On the other hand, they upped that prediction to 5-7 around 10pm last night...
"Heaviest" snow due this afternoon.
*yawns*
The Barbarian absolutely refused to go back to bed when she woke up. We made a deal that she would watch "one piece" of Scooby on YouTube (10 minutes), then she would let me tuck her back in.
I'm thinking, stay up, do my yoga, then go back to bed after that. So if The Barbarian's going back to bed doesn't stick, I'll be awake to deal with it. I wanted to do yoga this morning anyway.
UPDATE:
Well, The Barbarian never went back to sleep, but she did play so quietly in her bed that I *thought* she was asleep. I got through my entire yoga practice - Brian Kest's Power Yoga, Beginner session (Energize). I was about to go up and go back to bed for I hoped maybe an hour and as I approaced the stairs I could hear her just starting to yell for me again. On top of that AG33 was up there in his room, dumping legos from box to box.
So. I'm up. But since The Barbarian and I have BOTH been awake since 4:30, I told her we would lie down and take a nap together this afternoon.
So now, I'm contemplating trying to make strawberry-white chocolate muffins. Husband became an instant addict to the ones they sell at Einstein Bros. Bagels. Since we're snowed in, I thought it would be fun to try to see if I could produce something close.
