Sorry for the delay in the topical commenting! Husband has had his surgery (for a non-fatal condition, not to worry, but it will be a big relief for his daily life if it goes as well as the doc thought, follow-up is Monday), is doing v. well, though he went 24 hours without sleep after the anesthesia wore off, which I have to say was a bad thing, but I think he's finally gotten to sleep now.

Need. To. Write. Ficathon. Piece. Letting the rug rats watch The Future is Wild and some Hong Kong Phooey on my little TV until 9:15 when The Barbarian and I will duck out to Costco's flu shot clinic, leaving AG33 to listen out for Husband in case he needs anything. Hope the line isn't too bad. Three-year-old + line = misery. Anyway, transcribing like crazy until then.

The prize made me remember just what a sea change it was between Bush's imperialist unilateralism and Obama's reaching out. Yeah, to everyone outside the US, Bush was really fucking scary.
