TUESDAY: Jillian Michaels: 30 Day Shred (Level 2) (about half: 15 minutes warm up and circuit training) OK. I got interested in this because someone mentioned it on [livejournal.com profile] dailyexercise. I've been using the step aerobics tapes for cardio. They've gotten pretty easy, and they are boring me out of my mind. [livejournal.com profile] dixisong3131 (I think!) said it was a tough workout (at least the first time she did it). But then I saw it on YouTube, and I thought, wow. That looks lame. But I left it on my Christmas list because it was WAY cheap, and I thought, well, maybe it would be nice to have a break, even with a lame disc. OMG. Level 2 TOTALLY KICKED MY ASS this morning. Luckily, The Barbarian woke up and had to be taken to school, because I think if I had finished it, I might not have been able to move for the rest of the day.

Good investment.

Strength Training:

    Leg Press: 10 x 80 lbs, 10 x 120 lbs
    Bulgarian Split Squat: 2 sets, 20 x 10 lbs
    Reverse Lunge From Box, with forward reach: 10 x 20 lbs
    Underhand Grip Lat Pulldown: 10 x 40 lbs
    Swiss Ball Crunch: 2 sets, 10 crunches x 10 lbs
    Lateral Flexion: 1 set of 10 of the easist variation


There should have been more sets, plus a couple more different lifts, but RL caught up with me. On the upside, I DID get a shower, and AG33 made it to Chinese on time, so...

Cheers for you, babe. All I can manage as exercise is going out to a site and studying samples. Oh, and if I have a good afternoon, and have the time, I totally go insane on episodes. The good thing (at least for now, that I have the space) is that I can be wathing an episode of anything and pick up my 3pound weigths and go sideways about 200 times and then up and down. And if I'm feeling very industrial, well, I can pretend I'm doing arm press with that too. *sighs* I miss having time to go to the gym, damn it.

I feel your pain. Luckily, I have always been happy to use workout tapes at home, so don't need a gym. But still. Making the time is always the challenge, isn't it?
