muck_a_luckI think I'm just tired of being a gatekeeper. I've been in this role for too long. Helping a bunch of people just because I'm a good office drone.
Dealing with the building management in this place gives me high bloodpressure. Cellmate deals with it, mostly, except she doesn't come in til noon. I have been the fallback person for so long that nobody even realizes that I'm getting crapped on instead of them.
Because of my backup status, I get all teh building notices in my e-mail. Cellmate usually prints them and puts them on teh kitchen table, where they get all junky til one of us decides they've been there long enough and tosses them.
This morning, I thought, hey, I'll put together an e-mail list and we can e-mail them to everyone. I could make it one click, and it would be out of my life.
The first person I ask for her address, Carmen, whines about how she gets too much e-mail and would rather just see the notices on the kitchen table. Well, I get too much e-mail too, but... *takes deep breath and doesn't rant*
If even one person wants to get notices on the kitchen table, the whole thing idea of trying to do an e-mail notice system is pointless. I just went back to my desk. It's really Cellmate's issue, anyway. So I'm butting right back out of it.
