We revisited the move date issue. We are now moving on March 10. But the movers have been hired, the utilities have been changed (except the phone, and don't get me started about the idiots at Verizon), parental units are lined up, Aunties are on call.

In changing our cable to the new address, I learned a disturbing thing.

We will be living at 1234 Something Drive.

However, there is also a 1234 Something Court.

The cable company was able to figure this out.

I'm pretty sure that it is the root of the phone company's most recent inanity. When I call them tomorrow, I bet they figure out they have it wrong in their computer.

You can be sure that I will be having anything important or valuable shipped to my work address. Gah. The issues we will be having with mail. I hate to think. I hope our postal person is alert.

I have a unique address. However it is so long that it completely violates the computer systems of every cable company, electric, water, trash, insurance...

That first line chokes a bitch. It ends up as 1234 E. Lk. Samm Pky NE on a lot of mail.

The postal person is probably decent about it, most of the time. My father lives at the intersection of "Something Lane" and "Something Place". His mail carrier doesn't screw up any more often than mine messes up the XXX25, XXX27, and XXX29 addresses in our mega-row of mailboxes.

You sound remarkably sane. Is there something seriously wrong with you? I'd be flipping out.

I live on a Drive that is also a Court, but it doesn't seem to have ever caused a problem. Then again, I ditched Verizon a few years ago for AT&T.
