A tiny prayer
Jan. 14th, 2008 10:50 pmDear Lord, please save me from the evils of the King Arthur flour catalog. Amen.
Hmmmmm. I am proud to say that I do not have an icon appropriate to shopping! Go me! Gah. Looking at this catalog reminds me, though, how shopping drives consumerism. As soon as you go browsing through the store or the catalog or whatever, suddenly there are fifty things you want that you didn't want before.

Date: 2008-01-15 02:23 pm (UTC)btw, in your search for a home, look on yahoo.com, go to the real estate section, and make note of the foreclosure homes that come. I know it is too far out from work for you, but there is a house in Dominion Valley (one of the gated communities out where I live), 4000 sq ft, only a few yrs old, $279,000...guessing the original owners put quite a downpayment on it. With all the ARMs coming due around here, houses are being foreclosed on at an alarming rate.
btw, I love King Arthur flour. It really is better. And now, I shall go look at the catalog so I can dream of little extras I want to buy.

Date: 2008-01-15 05:36 pm (UTC)I do like King Arthur flour. It is v. good.
I would love a mini-mansion, but Husband has to be on public transportation. He does not drive. Our current location is about as far out as we can go. We are actually starting our search in hopes of finding something good on his current bus route.
