Oh, Little Sister.

Little Sister likes to play in the cat water.

She knows she is not supposed to do this.

So tonight, I see her put her hand in the cat bowl and before I can grab her, she has put her hand in her mouth. *sigh*. So I get that hand, only to hear the other hand splashing like crazy in the water!!! So I'm cracking up laughing and grab that hand, so she starts shrieking with laughter and giggles as I drag her, hands held away from her mouth (and she was leaning trying to suck her fingers) around to where the paper towels are so I can rinse and dry her off.

As soon as she gets free...

She never made it to the cat bowl again tonight, but not for lack of trying.

One time, I set her down and she started over there and I said, "NO!!!" and she jumped, startled, then looked up at me with the hugest grin you can possibly imagine.

I have a little monster, don't I? And I can only assume I created her... (Shut up.) Heh. Whenever the pediatrician gives her a clean bill of health, he says, "Way to go, Dad!" Next time, I'm blaming Husband.

Also, she's become a right little begger in the car. AG33 eats his breakfast, usually a plastic bag of cereal and goldfish with his vitamins, on the road in the morning, then the leftovers as a snack on the way home. Little Sister holds out her little hand and says, "Mah?" Becoming louder and more demanding until he notices her and hands her something. Then she chuckles to herself. They grin and giggle back there, and she gurgles and talks to her food.

She has started making bludabludabluda noises. You have done this. Not a bronx cheer, but when you kind of open your mouth and stick out your tongue and waggle it against your open lips to make a rapid bludabludabluda type noise. She does that a lot. It's hilarious.

Uh, oh continues unabated.

There's a great pair of pictures of me when I'm a few months older than Little Sister, wherein I am trying to get a book from the top of my parents' dresser. In the first photo, I'm reaching up, on tiptoes, hanging onto a drawer pull, and in the second I've turned around and have the "oh no, they caught me!" look. I suspect your baby will be of similar temperament. :D

Uh, oh! I think Little Sister needs her own bowl of water, because she shouldn't be playing in the cat water, and then what if figures out how to get into the toilet water?! But if she has her own (plastic!) bowl somewhere, and is firmly reprimanded for playing with any other water...

Definitely Husband's genetic influence, though. *snicker*

Um, so talking about your children will pretty much guarantee a response from me. Sorry.
AG33 eats his breakfast, usually a plastic bag of cereal and goldfish with his vitamins, Goldfish? WTF? Vitamain pills shaped like goldfish?

I was a horrendous child - always into everything my parents would prefer I wasn't and stubborn as a mule as well. But my parents still like me *g*

Ha! Yes! I see your confusion! These are his vitamins. And these are his goldfish. All little American children eat goldfish until they turn orange. Seriously. :)

See, what your parents never told you, is that we think the whole thing is hilarious, until somebody goes headfirst over the couch and it's not funny anymore. :D

The link to the goldfish doesn't work! The vitamins do look like a very good things though - we had chewable tablets which my sister hated.

Heh, do yours do much in the way of public screaming fits? When I was a toddler I was a dab hand at those - dad would just carry on doing the shopping and leave me flat on my back and screaming in the aisle. He said it was by far the most time-efficient thing to do!

Dang Pepperidge Farm website. <a href='http://www.pepperidgefarm.com/ProductLanding.aspx?catID=722">Try this one</a>. AG33 did not start doing the tantrum thing til he was 3-4 and then he only did them at home. In public, he was a little angel. Little Sister is much more tempermental than AG33 was at this age. She will sit down on the floor and collapse forward sobbing like the world is going to end. She used to bonk her forehead on the floor, but she has learned not to do that! :D Thus far, however, she hasn't tried one of those fits publically. *crosses fingers*

:-) that one worked! They look pretty cool - I can see why they both like them!

Hmm, I wonder whether that's a sex thing or a younger child thing? My sister and I had clearly different personalities from a very early age - I would throw myself out of the cot whether the side was up or not but my sister would only get out if the side was down and there was a chair to climb on to!
