Backup to Insane Journal

I saw a post over in hils journal on Friday about automated backup to Insane Journal and somebody pointed her to this post. It worked like a charm. I backed up my entire writing journal, sans custom security posts (they look like they need some attention), in about 10 minutes. That's about 750 posts or so. Pretty cool. And the widget appears to work for any other journal site. May do greatestjournal later. Next step, get my toy so that I can do a personal backup including comments to save for myself forever and ever.

Unfortunately there's not a good Mac option yet. I did make LJBooks for each year of my journal, so I have PDFs of all my posts including comments on my hard drive and backup.

The backup function doesn't leave anything on the compuer but the widget, I think. Seriously, it took me 10 minutes. Could you do this on your lunch break while at work? Do you use a PC there? Alternatively, if you felt any urgent need to do a backup to another journal, which seriously you might not, you could do temporary passwords and let me know and I could do the big migration for you, then you could change your passwords back. (That is an offer made totally understanding that to some people, the offer itself would be almost insulting: suggesting someone be let in to muck around in someone elses' journal!!! The nerve!!!! Who do they think they are?!?!?! But I thought I would offer, in case you were sitting around nights having major angst! :D )
