We visit the dentist and get our hair cut
Mar. 26th, 2004 07:48 amSo, yesterday, after an attack of the disorganized boss that sent me into another hissing, stomping, swearing tizzy, I left work early to take the *other* man with no common sense to the dentist.
But news from the dentist was excellent. No periodontical work needed, apparently, just some fillings need touching up. And we determined that he can walk easily to the office from the nearest bus stop (contrary to the information he got from MapBlaster).
Then we both got our hair cut. Best cut The Husband has had in ages. Heh. He has taken to having me instruct the stylist. The woman yesterday listened very attentively to my instructions about his hair. Get it off his neck to make it look more business-like, but only tidy up the rest of it, particularly leaving as much length as possible on top. Plus, trim around his ears. Well, Husband hates it trimmed around his ears (even though it looks so much better that way), so as they start working on the cut, he tells her to leave more hair to cover the ears. But she wouldn't do that without my permission! He told her it was OK, but she insisted on coming over and getting me to authorize the change in plans! *snortle* My moment as the domineering wife! I loved it! LOL
Then home to cook dinner. Had to be at Sufei's at 7pm for my instructions on babysitting The Knowledge Company. Not enough time to bring The Small Boy home to eat *and* make TKC on time. So instead, watched most of an episode of Alias, then made up a plate for the Boy and picked him up. We made it to Sufei's with perfect timing and the Boy ate while Sufei and I talked.
So will be babysitting TKC for upwards of 20 days in April. *groan*
Now The Husband and I are negotiating the April trip to my parents'. Complicated by The Small Boy's paternal grandfather's arrival in town. Do we go first weekend of April, when Granddad is here? Thurs/Fri/Sat before Easter, so we can be home for the holiday? Or the weekend after Easter, which would require a) that the Boy take a day off school and probably b) that we drive the van the entire way and c) rescheduling the Boy's birthday party? Husband still thinking.
