Verizon just called and asked to talk the person who handles our phone bill. I said, We dont' have a Verizon account. He said, You have a business phone, right? I said, Yes, but we don't have any accounts through Verizon. He said he was calling about a notice that was sent in last month's bill. I said, No, we don't have a bill, what business are you calling about, can you give me more information? Then he just launched into a spiel about how we might start getting two separate bills and trying to pitch their .03 a minute long distance rate. I finally said, look, I'm the office manager and we have all our phones through Vonage and we haven't had a Verizon line for years, so I'm ending this call right now, feel free to send me whatever information you want by mail.
