I feel really bad, but
Oct. 30th, 2006 02:28 pmWhat should I do.
One of the accountants got some free cat food. A nice brand. She doesn't have a cat and she thought of me.
Here is where I made my first mistake.
I accepted this gift of cat food without any comment except an enthusiastic thank you. Because I'm a thought that counts type person and I thought it was very kind of her to think of me.
Well, several days later, she brought me a coupon for the same cat food.
Second mistake - I didn't say, thanks but my cat is doing very well on her current food and I'm not really planning to change it. Mostly, I was kinda confused and befuddled when she brought me a coupon, but she went to all the trouble to clip it and bring it and I just failed to say the right thing at the right moment.
Plus, what else could she do?
Well, she went to the website of the cat food company and discovered that if you alert them that you are interested, they will send you sample cat food for free. I was on the phone, but she delivered the message to Cellmate that she had ordered the food, and suggested I might want to do the same.
Eek.
Now, I'm in deep on the courteous gift giving and receiving and I really have no plan to use this food nor any interest in it.
Aiyiyi. The things that happen in life.
