I KNOW this is not the worst writing offense out there. But I have seen it so many, many times of late that I just feel I MUST say...

The expression is NOT "butt naked." The expression is "buck naked."

Also, on a related note, just in case you ever heard it wrong, the expression is NOT "nip it in the butt." The expression is "nip it in the bud."

Hmmmm. That one, I can't resolve for you. I think it is another "thing" coming, but I can't assert that with confidence. If someone asked me, that's what I would tell them. Someone, in this case being you, I suppose!
