Hmmmm. News.
Sep. 12th, 2006 07:00 amSo. News of little import on varying topics.
Yesterday, I finally cracked and fixed a stupid document we use frequently that was long ago converted from WordPerfect to Word. I have dealt with it in a half-assed way before, but yesterday I gave it the full treatment, including fixing its stupid, stupid signature pages, getting the self-proof affidavit to fit on one page, and converting it to a Hot Docs document that will generate off my basic estate planning template so I hopefully will never have to look at this stupid thing again. So there.
Friday, Little Sister discovered her tongue. She would stick it out kinda slow, then pull it back in. Then stick it out and leave it out, like a cat that forgets to pull its tongue in after cleaning itself. Then pull it back in. Her tongue is surprisingly long and very triangular-pointy. It was hilarious! Alas, the camera was also very interesting and as soon as it appeared, the tongue stayed in, forgotten. :D
Damn. I'm sure there was other stuff I wanted to post. Oh! Haha!
Husband went out to the car the other day to get something. Husband uses public transportation to go to work and rarely goes anywhere with me on the weekends, so he sees the inside of the car about once a month. He had not been in the car since I dumped out the glove compartment looking for my insurance card for the tiny accident. Also, I pulled all the receipts from my wallet recently.
He comes back in from the car with a huge wad of paper in his hands, which he proceeds to sort through. In the process, he says, "I would appreciate it if you would not transport my daughter in your Germmobile!" *snickers*
It was pretty hideous out there though. Yesterday, I completely cleared out the garbage and junk in the back seat, most of it put there by Small Boy, who eats snacks back there and the trash never gets back into the house. And there was still detritus from the move back there, if you can believe it. And info about the baby seat from when I installed it. And broken boards from tae kwon do. Stuff like that.
I found a 2 liter bottle of Dr. Pepper in the trunk. Wow. The abuse it had taken. There were intriguing striations in the bottle. I think it had been in there a year, at least. I didn't try to open it.
Still stuff to get out of the trunk, but in all, the car is much tidier.
In 20-20 hindsight, perhaps I could have done this before having
uisgich as a guest in my car. :D
