I'm off to watch Mr. Sharpe.

I am very sad about it, though. Same old TV movie dreck. *sigh* You would think they could have tried a little harder. At least I don't remember noticing the hideous electric guitar theme music last night.

Now to see if Richard actually puts a bullet in Pat's brain or not...

UPDATE: Please beware futher minor spoilers in the comments.

And I'm totally pissed at the way they handled Lucille! It would have been so much more fun if she'd run off with Sweet William. :-)
And how about the spurting blood??
sheesh

Ah! You are on a different episode! But I totally agree about Lucille and Sweet William. Cause Sweet William was a great guy and deserved a little happiness in life. Don't remember the spurting blood, though.

Nope. I was watching the brand, spaking new Sharpe. Post LOTR Sharpe. Begged Beanie to come back, pretty please, go to India, one more time, just for us Sharpe. And STILL it was the same old dreck. Every stereotypical Sharpe character and Sharpe scene. Good Lord, SIMMERSON was even there! Didn't Sharpe KILL Simmerson in that one where it was revealed that Simmerson had betrayed them to the French - not through his usual cowardice but through actual treason?!

I'm sorry. But I rant. Please forgive me.

Still. Beanie. Sharpe and Harper ride again. It may be a trainwreck, but I just couldn't look away.

And India was pretty. As was much of the supporting cast.

Just. Why couldn't it be better.

I know, I'm talking about the new one too. I think you hadn't seen the first part when I posted. Sharpe and Harper talk about Lucille, and a guy dies in the beginning from a sword through the gut and they show it going through the gut Blood spurting and everything. It used to be a little bit of stage blood and a lot of bad stunt acting. :-)
It is pretty, as are the girls, and most of the story is Bernard's India adventures, they just cobbled them together. And there was no sex! He's always taken time for a bit of the old in and out before.
:-(
Simmerson didn't die, just was ruined by Sharpe and Lady Anne. And not even that ruined. The last we saw of him was Richard stealing Bitch Jane.
Ah Beanie, I love you no matter...

We recorded Sharpe's New TV Movie, on Sharpe's Blank DVD, and will watch it sometime this coming week, which I assume is Sharpe's Week. We will watch it while eating Sharpe's Dinner, most likely.

Was Sharpe's Donut yummy? *giggle*

It really was, and yet as you say, kinda impossible not to watch for Sharpe in a white shirt and Sharpe and Harper together again, and the lovely scenery, but yeah, drek *sigh*

I'm jealous, have never seen any of them! I really wantedto see 'Sharpe's Challenge' earlier this year but forgt to check when it would be on and arrange for access to a TV, so missed it. Even if it's dreck only, hope you enjoyed it, at least a bit. Sean Bean is in it after all :o
