Tiny itty bitty car accident

muck_a_luckI had the tiniest car accident you can imagine on Monday while still calling it an accident.
I was at a yield sign in a terrible spot, where you have to look backwards at traffic while driving forward to merge. I was first in line. There was a break in traffic, and I thought I could make it, so I jumped. Then I chickened out and stopped and didn't go after all. And the guy behind me, who had seen me start to go. Well. He didn't chicken out. He thought he could make it.
So we crashed.
We didn't even bother to call the police. You could hardly see the damage to my bumper. His was a bit worse, but when you are at fault in the accident, you probably figure you'll pay for $500 of body work yourself. Or just leave it be.
No kids in the car. Just me. Great moment to be driving a Crown Vic, I'll tell ya. Thanks, Granddad!
