Well, saying it went to hell in a handbasket would be a gross overstatement.
In fact, Ez did a fabulous job of holding this place together and kudos to him. If he hadn't done the incredible job he did, I'm sure it would have been a short trip to disaster.
And yet, I just have to vent.
HOW FREAKING HARD *IS* IT TO FILE THINGS ALPHABETICALLY AND IN THE CORRECT CLIENT FILES?!?!
Sorry. It had to be said.
Also, poor Ez and Boss, they limped along trying to tackle word processing issues beyond their kin.
I have found more than one document with apparently unnecessary section breaks that, when I deleted said section breaks, suddenly reverted to columnar formatting. Okaaaaay. Back away from the toolbar, people.
And they created a new template retainer letter that is doing some truly *funky* stuff. Somehow they inserted a table (the correct way to avoid the use of columns) so that the text flows around said table, as if it were an inserted object. *scratches head perplexed at how they managed it* I have Boss' daughter working on fixing that for me now.
But mostly, I think, I just don't like people touching my stuff. :)

Date: 2006-08-23 03:14 pm (UTC)And to add a rant of my own. I got a call yesterday from another department asking me why they had just received in campus mail one of OUR travel vouchers and a form applying for a campus credit card. Neither item had anything to do with them.
They are things I normally would have sent out from here. Correctly.
*glares over to where Bint would be if she were here*
How DOES the world get along without us?

Date: 2006-08-23 11:09 pm (UTC)Well, I guess those section breaks weren't all that unnecessary, were they? Thank whatever god(s) that you didn't leave huge Master Document for them to play with.
But mostly, I think, I just don't like people touching my stuff.
Mind. Gutter. Hysterical laughter.
