My brain is drained
Jun. 16th, 2006 09:55 pmAfter a week of poor sleep, today I made a real effort to sleep with the baby. So had a brief nap from 10-10:30, then a longer one from 12-2, and now I'm looking at a little sleeping angel and trying to get myself ready for bed, though now my body is completley uninterested in sleep.
Why can't she just nurse like a good little girl and let me sleep, like her brother did?
Is it possible to growl, glare and dote all at the same time?
She was adorable with her brother tonight. They were cooing and making faces at each other. We tested out all her baby reflexes, our favorite being the fencing reflex, where a baby lying on her back assumes sparring stance. :)
These last few late nights, I have actually *watched TV*.
This is different from my usual TV watching, where I basically go along for the ride with whatever Husband is watching. I have been actually looking at the listings and picking out shows. Weird. I wathced a little bit of Notting Hill a couple of nights ago. And Roxanne was on last night. And Real Genius. Plus I've broken out the Stargate discs. I watched Demons tonight, which I hadn't seen before, which is pretty cool. Early unseen Stargate. Now The Incredibles are on.
Kinda dorky to feel excited about watching TV, but there you go. The wages of sleep deprivation.

Date: 2006-06-17 04:33 am (UTC)I'm not surprised you are choosing your TV watching. Since you're not back at work, you should decide what sort of "adult" stimulation you get. (Real Genius? ;-)
You hadn't seen Demons? Not my fave episode, but lots of nice bondage, and Teal'c looked smokin' hot when he was covered with that shroud and came rising up off that slab.
The Incredibles so rocks!!!!

Heh. Nuns oiling Teal'c up...
