Yesterday, they let me out of the house alone!
First, bought a small TV. I have, on principal, resisted having a TV in the bedroom for years. But am probably about to give in.
Second, to Borders, to pick up a couple of things for The Husband.
At both places, took some time to look at the bargain bins, but nothing v. interesting. Also poked around Borders looking for DVD's that I said I would only rent and probably not buy. But I wanted to hold them, possibly sniff them, see if I *really* did want to buy them... But none of them were there, so temptation foiled...
Then, Walmart, where I got a couple of things, including the box I wanted to store the train track in, but spent a lot of time pricing the herb garden. I think we will have 6 12" pots, which looks to require 2 cu. ft. of potting soil. Also need gravel, charcoal, and maybe some agricultural lime, if it is possible to get it in a small enough quantity. Am a little concenred that the site I have selected might be too shady for the Mediterranean herbs I want to grow, but we'll see.
Then groceries and home.
But shockingly, The Small Boy's room is cleaner than it has been in months! We still need to tackle his table, which is a giant pile of art projects, and the basket, which is full of things that need homes. But the floor is visible, and the best toys, the ones he plays with the most, are all organized and easy to reach. So serious progress!

Date: 2004-03-15 04:45 pm (UTC)So, more questions - which DVDs were you after?
Oh, and Alias kicked ass - brilliant, but probably won't get to watch it on a regular basis, cos SM doesn't like it, and it's on at 9pm on Sunday night -he's usually around then. So, I'll see if I can keep up. If not, wait for the DVDs.
And which herbs? Let me think - oregano? basil? marjoram?
DVDs, herbs and Alias

Thinking lavender, mint (chocolate mint if I can find seeds), basil, rosemary, thyme, and possible lemon balm or catnip or oregano. Limiting myself to 6 I think.
