I attempt to train the cat
Mar. 15th, 2004 06:45 amStupid cat.
She woke me up at 6:45am on Saturday. Between husband who goes to work on the 5:30 bus and son who wakes up at dawn, I *never* get to sleep past 8am. But I expect to be able to sleep til at least 7am. I just couldn't get the cat to shut up. So I got out of bed and tried to make the most of it. There are things to be said for being up well before the boys. Unfortunately, they both got up early and in the end we were *all* up by 8:30. Which seriously interfered with my usual leisurely Saturday morning surf.
Stupid cat.
So, I planned for Sunday morning. I took the spray bottle I use for bread baking into the bedroom.
It was moderately effective. When she started yowling at 5:45am, I didn't even turn on the light. Just opened the bedroom door and misted the darkness. I heard her galloping down the hall, snickered, and went back to bed.
She tried again at 7:15, then again at 8:15. I decided to get up at 8:15 and again try to enjoy being up before the boys.
Whereupon the DSL modem refused to work and I spent 30 minutes shutting down and rebooting the equipment before I could get an interent connection.
Oh, well. Rugbytackle has been slow and nobody has updated their sites in ages. And hardly anything interesting on the lists. (Andn I'm honestly afraid to read the update of "Another Chance.")
UPDATE: Well, yet another chapter of Another Chance without tragedy. But they're going back to Rome. *CK cringes* Lady Sunrope is so mean! Hate her.
