- Ground rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "Five Weird Habits of Yourself" and the people who get tagged need to then write a LJ entry about their five quirky little habits as well as state the rules of this game clearly. In the end, you need to list the next five people who you want to tag.
1. I have become one of those people who cannot shut cabinet doors. Tonight, I almost brained myself while I was cooking because I opened one to get out a bowl, didn't close it, and later tried to wash dishes with my head right where the door was. In the mornings, you can go into the kitchen and see what I have been up to by which doors are open. Sometimes.
2. I often run the grocery total in my head while shopping. I think this is left over from helping my dad shop when I was a kid. We used to guess the total, with smug points to the one who came closest to right. Reinforced, of course, by the years on a tight food budget. But I think originating from this childhood game.
3. I compulsively check the alarm clock before bed. Several times. This is because 1) when I was a kid, I used to annoy my brother by resetting his alarm. He never did mine, but I always thought he would; and 2) because my alarm can be reset by a cat sitting on it. This also happened to my brother and never me (we had the same type clock), but it was a lesson learned.
4. I chew evenly. One side gets the same number of chews as the other. Do other people do that?
5. I eat four cookies at a time. Usually. Four was the magical number of cookies we were allowed to have for desert when I was a kid, and still, it seems like the normal cookie portion.
I tag noone, but would be intriged to hear your little oddities. I shared one with
