The strawberry part is actually pieces of fruit rollup. Please note how the rollup apparently got stuck under the bowl, and now the bowl appears to be sitting in a pool of blood. *snickers*

Alas, I made a new cake recipe that I had not made before, and it was v. disappointing. Though excellent for purposes of cat construction. And as I recall the icing wasn't so amazing either. But it was *so* fun to make! :)
