At The Knowledge Company, they had a pool on how long it would take before I broke down and said something really nasty to an annoying client.

Other analysts would listen in amazement as I listened to each caller and addressed their needs with caring and concern, "like you really care!"

And I never cracked.

But this week, I've started to think they just didn't wait long enough. Maybe it took 10 years of phone stupidity to really push me over the edge.

Signature Man is nagging me for his agreement.

Well, HE is the one who signed the wrong one...

I mentioned that to him. He said, "I wondered about that..."

At prior jobs that required a lot of phone work, I used to get complimented on my manner on a regular basis. My response to co-workers: it's easy to fake over the over.

Actually, I usually do care. Just some people are just... You know. Ya gotta fight the urge to slap them. Hard. Really hard. But this week has been much better, thus far. And I'm taking Friday off, so ha, ha! Take that, froot loop clients...
