Hello! Not dead!
May. 30th, 2005 08:20 amGreetings, all!
No, I am not dead.
Many things to possibly post.
First things first, last weekend I got a reminder about why I don't drive downtown. Gah.
But I did somehow defeat my nemisis and old enemy, the Key Bridge! *shakes fist at Key Bridge*
Sister-in-Law graduated in a remarkably reasonable ceremony. Small Boy could not have been more perfect. He was actually listening attentively to the graduation speakers. *boggles*
He was also being better behaved than his mother. Eventually, he was sitting in my lap, coloring. His auntie is summoned for her diploma, and they completely botch our name. So badly I don't even understand what they could have been thinking! Anyway, I whisper it into Small Boy's ear, imitating them and snickering derisively. He mutters back, "You shouldn't be so hard on them, Mommy. A lot of people have trouble with our name."
OMG! I was rolling!
We ended up in freakin' Silver Spring for lunch. Which was very pleasant, but which means I had to find my way home from Silver Spring. Which wasn't really that hard, but it was the end of a long day of stressful driving and I'm afraid the entire day was a bit R-rated for Small Boy, the innocent, well-behaved passenger...
