A day in the life
May. 13th, 2005 08:38 amSmall Boy is home today with temperature of 100.4. Not temperature of 1110, as I nearly e-mailed to his teacher. I think that would look like a fake excuse, don't you. "Yes, my son will be out of school today spontaneously combusting, but I fully expect him to be in again on Monday!"
He woke up crying at 6am. Not sick to his stomach, thank God, but cranky and unsettled and warm. So I cooked him some breakfast, which he had said he was hungry for but then plainly didn't want. So we watched the rest of National Treasure, and now he is back in bed, I hope sleeping, but if not, faking for at least half an hour before he can get up again!
The small positive side to this is that the repair guy called about 7:30 to find out if I would be here to day so he could come and make the lights work in the master bathroom again. Yay! No more showering in the near-dark!
