My new policy
Jan. 6th, 2005 01:27 pmFor the first time, I have exercised my new policy of not tolerating non-cooperation from clients.
Dear Client:
I don't believe you have ever filled the attached questionnaire. Please
return it ASAP, as I will use it as the basis for the rough draft of your
Bill of Complaint. You can disregard the financial and property questions,
as that has been addressed already and your PSA is final.
Also, I need to know your wife's maiden name, regardless of whether she
is planning to restore it.
Kind regards,
CK
CK,
As discussed in our phone conversation, I am to ignore this, since I
filled it out a long time ago. [AN - This is NOT what we discussed in the phone conversation.]
My wife's maiden name is blah blah blah.
Client
Client:
I find no record of your having returned this questionnaire. The questionnaire is neither in my e-mail inbox for Month Year, nor in my fax inbox for the same time period, although I did find several e-mails regarding your PSA and QDRO. The questionnaire is not in your file.
I would appreciate it if you could please fill it out and return it.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
With kind regards,
CK
Paralegal
That wasn't unreasonable, was it?

Date: 2005-01-06 07:13 pm (UTC)Confession time, though. This guy DID send his questionnaire. In April. I found it in my inbox. One of the few times that decided *not* to kill a tree. And see, it came back to bite me in the butt! Stupid Green tendencies.
But it is *so* provoking to be told by a client that they are "ignoring" my request for information. This guy actually had sent the information, but there are so many people who won't tell me basic information about themselves and their cases, and I'm just not putting up with that behavior anymore. I have a job to do, and they have to be willing to deal with me. So there.
