Discovery sucks, I once had a client give me their documents in a bunch of WalMart bags. I told them they could either get it in order themselves or pay me and my legal assistant overtime to stay up all night sorting out their mess.
I have never had a client that bad. However, this one takes the cake. Boss tends to send clients e-mail copies of everything. Well, this client managed to latch onto the wrong set of discovery. He answered the discovery that we sent out to his wife. *rolls eyes* Luckily, he didn't produce that much. Though he will now have to revisit the process and produce more. Lots more. *sigh* Just one of those things, but something is *always* screwed up with discovery. It never, ever fails... Also, it always takes about three times as long as I estimate it is going to take. Hate, hate, hate it.
