Am tired of winter.
It's too cold, my hands are too dry, and I will be having a permanent bad hair day until we get some humidity back in the air.
In addition, this morning I went out to the car thinking, "It's no so bad today!" On the way to work, passed a bank thermometer showing the temperature as 25.
There is something wrong, wrong, wrong when I think 25 is not too cold!

Date: 2004-01-20 10:10 pm (UTC)I'm only complaining cause at this rate, we'll have blizzards in April!
2 years ago (probably said this before) it was -18 degrees C(?), and we had no water. Every time we have a mild winter, spring ends up being twice as bad.
God, sounds like the prophecy of doom! (Can't now get that phrase out of my head!)
Foreboding weather
Date: 2004-01-21 03:39 am (UTC)Start stocking up on the bottled water and batteries now!
Get the kitties extra fleece blankets!
I'll cross my fingers that you get some really horrible snow - three feet! - in the next couple of weeks to save you from the April blizzards. :)
It has been entirely too cold here for two winters. At least, I think it has. Am not native to DC area. Should ask Dad. Anyway, it *ought* to rain all winter, says me. But snowed like crazy last year, and this year, snow in December, and sleet and general yuck since the first of the year...
Stupid winter.

Date: 2004-01-21 09:01 pm (UTC)Thank you!!
At this time of year, I always bank the stove well down before going to bed, so there will still be glowing embers in the morning to start the next one. But our bedroom is above the living room, and it has been almost too warm to sleep lately.
And we can't open the windows, as the cords are snapped in one, and the other is surrounded by ivy, which means the bedroom fills up with creepy crawlies if we open the window for too long!
Just have to sweat!
