The procedure we discussed
Aug. 14th, 2008 06:47 amTuesday night I had a v-mail from the dermatologist saying to call her. I was trying to figure out what the heck she could possibly want from me, and even slightly freaked. The only time I ever saw her was several months ago - maybe even over a year now - when she removed a mole and told me not to call the office, they would call me if there was a problem. I was like, OMG! What if they just found the horrifying test results TODAY!
So, I called them back yesterday. At first, the staff couldn't figure out why I was calling them. I said, "I got a message saying to call the office." They say, "Oh, Dr. Khan must have called you herself!" Soooo not reassuring me.
They go away and eventually come back and say, that Dr. Khan was calling to let me know that she was going to be in the office in a few days to do some cosmetic procedures and I could come in for the treatment we had discussed.
Huh.
I said, "I don't think we discussed any procedures."
The nurse then prompted me that it was the botox injection.

I told the nurse I thought the doctor must have been thinking of someone else, since I had only been there once, several months ago, to have a mole removed and nope, the subject of botox never came up. The nurse and I both laughed. She apologized profusely.
