Billing Matters - Will the Saga Never End?
Sep. 2nd, 2004 03:26 pmAfter yesterday's very productive phone conversation with TimeMatters technical support, I have generated bills! Whoo hoo! Go me!
I had to make major changes to the entire database. Two big, big universal changes to a half-dozen fields. Then major changes to 36 individual clients. Need to go back in later and fix the nomenclature we are using to identify cases. Still not perfect, but after yesterday's mini-tutorial, I have a much better grasp of how the program works and am optimistic that I can fix problems on my own now.
Next step, migrating information from TimeSlips. I had to do this month's billing over there, so will finalize that tomorrow, then move the AR and funds balances over for all existing clients. I will also activate all current clients in BillingMatters and set them up correctly, as needed. I expect the project to take most of the day, and maybe carry me into next week.
But it will be done! Am thrilled! *happy paralegal dance*
