And you know it must be true, because I *never* use cuts to spare my friends of. But I did this morning. Really. Skip. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Work Stuff
Boss has cancelled today's deposition in Miami.

I presume that means that he has decided not to go, though I don't have any indication as yet as to his plans for the day.

My plan for the day: Exploit Correy as much as possible, as he may be starting new, full time, real job next week. Scum. I'll let him get the phones and do all the real work in sight. I *must* do an R to O transfer today or the sky will fall in on my little head.

Diet and Exercise
So, Husband has said he will back me up on a diet and exercise plan. He is going to support my efforts by not eating dessert while I am pursuing my plans. He is a good Husband.

So, as of today, kick starting the diet with 1500-1800 per day caloric intake.

Next week, when Small Boy starts school, will exercise in the mornings after Husband leaves at 5:30 and before Small Boy gets up at 8:00. Plenty of time for aerobics and shower. Will do my hour of at home work in the evening. Possibly while putting Boondock Saints on continuous loop. *snert*

When I am actually exercising on a daily basis, will move caloric intake up to 1800-2200 per day.

My goal - 150 pounds and size 12. My reward - when the goal is achieved, will buy new clothes (which I haven't done in years, mainly because I never buy anything and I never shop).

Architeuthis News
Architeuthis is a much maligned and misunderstood beast.

I have learned his inner workings, and I don't understand why nobody else loved him the way I do.

The trick to Architeuthis is that you can't shuffle between folders. So, logically, you file manage by artist, with subfolders for each album. To get the album in order, you must name the files properly. But then you want to listen to a mix all day. And you can't, because all your music is in logical folders. You can only listen album by album. Or possibly artist by artist, if you haven't used subfolders for albums. To get a real mix, you either have to not organize your songs in folders, or you have to have a large folder duplicating all your music for purposes of shuffling, while the same music is sorted neatly elsewhere, basically cutting Architeuthis' capacity in half.

Architeuthis also have a playlist capacity. But it is a nightmare to use, because it has a tiny screen and there's no realistic way you are going to go through a couple thousand songs that way, designating them to the playlist by means of Architeuthis' primitive keypad.

Apparently nobody but me noticed that if you plug this sucker in by its USB, you get excellent file management! You load all the music up in organized folders. You open up jukebox. You read the music into jukebox's library. You create playlists. You load the playlists up onto Architeuthis. And Voila! You run the playlists.

Because you can run the playlists on shuffle...

*cue triumphant music*

...you can include every song in the library on a playlist, if that is your inclination, and run the playlist on shuffle!

And you can have multiple playlists. So I can set up one for Cellmate, a couple of new Love and Lust lists, a Quiet list, an All Celtic All the Time List, a Small Boy List, and so on!

It couldn't be easier. It works great! I'm so smug!

And if John had ever figured this out, I would not have my pretty little beastie today! Tee hee!
