My day, in summary
Jul. 1st, 2004 08:04 pmHad lovely, peaceful day at office. Tidied my desk. Ignored a bunch of stuff with deadlines in favor of achieving something resembling order so that I can better meet deadlines over the long haul.
Peaceful, quiet (vague discontent from the Jaffe crew, but that's not really my issue), soothing, calm...
At 3:10pm, call from DC Superior Court. OMG! Heart attack! But no, not our fault. The notice was sent to the wrong address and we did not receive it.
*passes out from fright*
Upon recovery, went to Minerva, which was recommended by RS to replace the restaurant that gave us the bug in the rice.
I was trying to order take out over the phone without a menu. They were very patient with me, though the guy they had answering the phone was very difficult for me to understand. I kept asking about ground lamb. He seemed to be answering that they had grilled lamb. We finally skipped the lamb. Next time. But the murgh tikka was yum! and of course, got rice and raita and yummy, hot, warm naan. Heh. Did not fall for the naan with "a small piece of cheese cake." I KNEW that was not right! *snortle*
Portions were excellent. Prices reasonable. Next time we will get the lamb.
In a strange turn of events, Husband looks at the menu I brought home and says, I wonder if this is a national chain. Because this looks just like the menu from a restaurant in (he flips the menu over to look at the back) ATLANTA! Yup, folks, the same place. Locatiosn in Atlanta, Fairfax, and Herndon! Wonder why?
