muck_a_luckWatched Willow for the first time in years today.
Small Boy liked it very much.
It was fun.
Husband said he had only ever seen it all the way through one time before. I said, "Oh, my brother and I watched this so many times when I was a kid." Whereupon, Husband says, "It came out when you were seventeen!" Thinking it over, I finally said, "Well, what can I say. Val Kilmer's hot!"
Also, mostly naked for much of the movie. Well, topless, anyway. And spends a lot of time in a pink dress. Yeah, he does. Go back and watch again...

Anyway, if one presumes that this movie was an LOTR substitute/ripoff, you gotta admit that the elves really got shafted. Mentally impaired brownies?! Also, Aragorn gets the wrong end of the stick, too. Pink dress for half the story! ;P On the upside, Zorsha much better than Arwen, though not as deep as Eowyn.
And, in case you thought there was *no way* for me to bring Sharpe into this, LeRoy is in it!!! I *knew* I recognized that Airk guy from somewhere! (Not to mention that the thought that went through my head was, "Mad Mardigan has as much trouble keeping his shirt on as Sharpe.")
