CK's big day off

I took a real, honest to gosh, sick day today. This is a thing I almost never do, mostly because I am almost never sick, and I really don't count head colds, because seriously, do I look like a pussy whiner to you? I didn't think so.
But yesterday, despite the distinct lack of my insides trying to escape to the outside, and also, the fever having broken Saturday night, I still was weak, and my stomach fluttered at every odor of food. I was pretty much shattered by bedtime. I decided rest today was the better part of valor.
So my day consisted of:
1. Going back to bed.
2. Getting up again to see AG33 off to school and watch my Iron Man BluRay I got at Christmas but have never sat down for.
3. Pausing Iron Man to see The Barbarian off to school.
4. Doing a small amount of laundry and glaring at my unruly washing machine.
5. Watching Sherlock Holmes sans RiffTrax. Because I want to. *glares at Husband*
6. Updating FaceBook and chatting with the spammers all day.
7. Folding some laundry.
8. Watching the first bit of Casino Royale with AG33 when he came home.
9. Going to get Husband from bus stop then watching most of Daredevil WITH RiffTrax with Husband and AG33 before going to retrieve The Barbarian from TKD.
All in all, a fulfilling and enjoyable day.
Which was, I will be honest, specifically built around eye candy. I felt mildly guilty about that all day. Though also relieved. Because lusting after RDJ and Daniel Craig at least stays in my own generation. (I may never recover from the Elijah Wood fangirl crush. Ever. *cringes*)
Then, I thought about this AWESOME piece of fan art. Please click for the awesome. Yes, I know, it goes to scary tumblr. You don't have to stay long.

Seriously. I think when they make a kick-ass awesome blockbuster popcorn action flick cast like that, I will consider feeling guilty about enjoying the eye candy in a sausage fest like Iron Man, or a Bond movie. Though I tip my hat to Irene Adler. She will never not be awesome.
PS: Also watched the deleted scenes from Iron Man. Favreau filmed some sleezy, sleezy stuff. Pepper needs to make Tony wear a condom, for, like, fifteen years. Srsly.

You'll remember, back in the day I was all Sean Bean and Viggo, and the boys were boys. I stayed away from Supernatural for years because, oh, they're too young. Jack O'Neill, though, humina! I don't know what the hell happened. Smallville? SPN (finally)? Inception? Dammit, I'm watching Teen Wolf now!
Express handbasket, I'm telling you.

Actually, I did eventually watch almost all of Generation Kill. Though I didn't mean to channel it.

Jared Padelecki - 1982. Oh. Jensen Ackles, old man, 1978.
True facts.

Date: 2013-03-12 03:40 pm (UTC)And technically, I'm just a tad more than ten years older than Elijah Wood, which really isn't that big a deal at all. It's just that I knew when he FILMED that, he was 18. I think that was what creeped me out.
