we get onto the other reason then - I am cheap and I often have free texts but never have free minutes so am economising by texting...I am always astonished when my mobile actually rings because no one ever phones me!
I agree that phonecall would be better though - it would save me the awkward of lurking outside a random house waiting to see if someone lets me in without even knowing whether they've read my message.
Heh, for me internet on phone is the step too far - mine does nothing but text and phone, (actually, it has a camera but I can't work out how to get the photos off it...) and the idea of one that goes on the net baffles me!
