Gmail gets all suspicious

So, g-mail locked me out this morning until I gave it a phone number to text a recovery code to, then it made me change my password. It said there was "suspcious activity" on my account, but my recent activity records didn't look at all unusual to me.

I know another person had the same problem this morning.

Anybody else?

I think this was just a scam to get me to give them a recovery phone number, which I have refused to do repeatedly in the past, since they already have a recovery alternate e-mail for me.

this is what I found when I googled it. In your, it probably came about from logging in at two different locations, possibly concurrently. At any rate, this is a security feature you can turn off if you read further down the page.
