CK's Dull Weekend
Mar. 21st, 2010 08:43 amDull, but pleasant so far.
Kitchen is very clean. Clothes are washed and folded.
Treated myself to The Secret of NIMH yesterday at Costco. One of my favorite movies of all time. Came with some Fern Gully thing The Last Rainforest that The Barbarian HAD to see IMMEDIATELY. It was a bit scary for her, I think. She was watching it on the little TV in the kitchen while I cleaned and folded laundry (see above).
Great yoga yesterday. After three days off, did MTV Power in the afternoon, and it was ridiculously easy and I was amazingly flexible, OMG.
Then this morning, got up around 6:30 and did some Yoga Shakti and OMG thought I was going to die. about 45-50 minutes hard, hard work, including some interesting growth in some of the arm balances.
I realized afterwards that I had a very early dinner last night, and very modest. I wonder if on top of maybe putting two workouts too close together if maybe my muscle energy was down because it had been a while since I ate.
Made some very pleasant Satay yesterday with a coconut-milk-heavy recipe. Still not perfect, but AG33 seemed to like it. Finished that off for breakfast.
We will be having a smoothie party today, the four of us. Thinking I will make AG33 a Black Forest one wiht cherries and chocolate syrup. I may go for a pure strawberry slush. Husband sounds like he's headed toward a blueberry pina colada type deal. Barbarian will probably mooch off the rest of us.
Last but not least, Breaking Bad started it's new season last night (or maybe will tonight, not sure), and Husband got Season 2 in the mail this week. We've been watching it pretty fast, though Husband is through the whole thing while I'm only on the fourth ep, I think. If you have never seen this show, I *highly* recommend it. Synopsis: High school chemistry teacher, diagnosed with terminal cancer, decides to cook high quality meth for fast profit to provide for his family after he is gone. Add in his brother-in-law the DEA agent (he got the idea from hearing how much the drug dealers earn from his BIL), and his not-really-even-street-smart partner and FULMINATE OF MERCURY! and it's a really hilarious show. Well, also pretty violent and highly suspensful, with a smattering of domestic drama. In other words. AWESOME.
So. Pretty dull. But pleasant.
