Flu clinic

Back from flu clinic. They were running a tight ship there. You could tell they were READY to vaccinate 12,000 people in 8 hours. It was moving so fast *I* actually held us up by filling out the forms too slowly. And for the second time this fall, I learned that if you want a vaccine, you should just show up at the flu clinic and see what happens. I was up front with everybody there that I wasn't expecting a vaccine and I wasn't in any of the groups and they gave me a form then stamped it OK and in I went and got the nasal mist. So. Me and the kids are now H1N1 vaccinated. Still haven't been able to get the seasonal one for the kids yet, but I was much more concerned about H1N1, so yay! Nasal mist was much less unpleasant that I expected, but it has given me a runny nose and sore throat. Hoping that will go away by tomorrow.

My family doc had plenty of the H1N1 nasal vaccine for the kids, but none of seasonal. Small Mammal #3 has to go back next week for his 2nd spray. My eldest had the same side effects you mention, but they went away quickly (and I hope the same for you).
