Change of pace - balance ball
Sep. 10th, 2009 09:49 amLast night, did some arm weights, then decided that this morning instead of yoga I would actually put in the balance ball DVD I picked up from the libarary this past weekend and see if I could learn anything about the stupid thing.
I got it for weight training and, until this morning, knew exactly two things to do with it. Two cool things, though, so I figured it had potential.
About half the disc was very meh, but the other have was WHOA. I obviously need to be getting more abs work. Also, I think this whole balance ball thing could be pretty cool. Already have a couple of discs in my Amazon basket, as the library doesn't have much and I of course have nothing. Will probably have to wait til after payday, though.
FYI, using the balance ball for pushups, once I figure out how to do them, could have a lot of potential. And after the abs and gluetes work this morning, I was decidedly wobbly, which is always an indication of an excellent workout. So.
ETA: Apparently cannot spell this morning.

Date: 2009-09-10 02:59 pm (UTC)Husband objected to my use of the phrase, "Going to do some crunches on the ball." As it was, I was trying to avoid saying "ball crunches."

Date: 2009-09-10 03:24 pm (UTC)go play with your balls
roll your balls
bounce your balls
or my personal fave...
work out your balls (which would lead to sweaty balls, that you would then have to wash)
of course, I am sure that Barbarian would, at some point, kick your balls. And you would have the satisfaction of asking husband if he had seen your balls anywhere.
um, what were we talking about?
