The NOVA magazine came today with the high school comparison chart and my brain spazzed and suddenly it thinks that The Barbarian should go to The Madeira School, which for those of you who do not want to click the link, is a fairly expensive all-girls day/bording school in Langley.
WTF, brain?
Luckily, I have a good ten years or so to get over this particular brainspaz.
My kids will be going to TJ*, of course! Jeez. Of course, at TJ she couldn't keep her horse... Also, of course, it would be great to just get rich enough to live in Great Falls, then they could both just go to the neighborhood school (Langley) and be done with it.
And now, back to your regularly scheduled insanity (as opposed to this little sidetrip into the mind of a suburban mom).

Date: 2009-07-17 05:12 pm (UTC)I went to Richard Montgomery High School for the International Baccalaureate Programme (wherein the first thing they did was teach you to spell "baccalaureate"), but only because it was either that or go to my worst-in-county home high school. I don't regret it, but I think the pressure I went through in high school greatly added to the pressure void when I got to college, which is part of what fucked me up so badly.
