WHY didn't we do this NINE MONTHS ago?

Little Sister just cried for about an hour and forty-five minutes. Yes. You are noting the time stamp as 12:58 am. She fell asleep about five minutes ago.

We are finally insisting that she sleep though the night. I know we worked on this before, but for various reasons, mainly lack of parental will power, it didn't take. Well, her top front teeth finally broke through last Sunday and really, she can't be nursing in the night anymore or her teeth will rot out. We finally both agreed the time has come. But gah. It is so much worse than with AG33. She can sit in her crib and scream MamaDadiBrah trying to get SOMEBODY to come in and rescue her.

I hope she catches on to this quick. *is sad*

UPDATE: After a relatively quiet time, it is now 5:21 and she has been crying furiously for about 5 minutes. I'm letting her go 5 more, then I'm calling it a night.

oh I so feel for you. tried that with Thing One and he not only never stopped crying (it went on for 6 nites and he would eventually pass out after he worked himself into throwing up), but he refused to kiss us for 6 months...so I vowed never again. Didn't bother to try with Thing Two.

Note to CK: nursed all nite with both boys, no rotten teeth

soooo, for what its worth, if she's stubborn and you're exhausted, there's no shame in giving up. Do what works best for you and yours

oh, and both boys transitioned to their own beds with no problem whatsoever and sleep thru the nite with no problems (I know the Family Bed/You'll Kill Yer Kid/They'll Be Dependent On You To Fall Asleep Forever Nazis are out there. Take that!)
